Ever since we started our blog, we wanted to do a DIY project. We finally found our first project!
We wanted to make a craft that’s simple and easy — ideal for decorating in the busy month of December. Inspired by the blog, Say Yes, we tried our inexperienced hand at this stress-free but classic name card.
Supplies:
- Fake décor berries or cranberries
- Flexible craft wire
- Small Evergreen branches and Holly leaves
- Hot glue gun
- Construction paper and pen
- Classic holiday tunes
Step 1:
Thread the berries through the wire. We ended up using about 20 berries for each name card.
Tip: For a more nature-inspired look, make this craft with real cranberries. You might need less berries since cranberries are a bit bigger than the fake décor kind we used.
Step 2:
Twist wire ends together to finish the berry circle.
Step 3:
Glue a few inches of evergreen branches or holly leaves to your berry circle, making sure to glue over the twisted wire section.
Step 4:
Cut out your desired name tag; we used a rectangle piece with a triangle cut out and wrote the names in cursive with a gel pen.
We had a lovely time listening to Michael Bublé and chatting about our favorite Christmas traditions and memories. While this craft is easy enough to do alone, it is a lot more fun with another person. After all, isn’t the company of friends and family an integral part of Christmas?
This craft is a fun way capture the camaraderie of the Christmas season; you can make it with a friend or in preparation for a Christmas party. Either way, enjoy this season with the ones who make each day a little bit brighter.
