Autumn is here and it’s easy to find people decked out in warm mittens and knitted scarves, sipping on apple cider and munching on pumpkin desserts. Thanksgiving is only a few weeks away!
We know how busy Thanksgiving can be with meal planning, shopping and decorating to do. While Pinterest recipe-browsing looks inviting, it can also cripple your creativity and motivation.
It’s easy to fall back on your traditional Thanksgiving dishes that you know will turn out. Yet this year might be your time to bake something new — and thanksgiving is the perfect time to try! We found another delicious, Lancaster-inspired recipe just for you.
Moist Chocolate Cake

- 2 C. flour (sifted)
- 2 C. sugar (sifted)
- ¾ C. Cocoa
- 2 tsp. baking soda
- 1 tsp. baking powder
- Pinch of salt
- ½ C. oil
- 1 C. hot coffee
- 1 C. milk
- 2 eggs
Step 1: Mix all ingredients together.

Step 2: Bake at 350° for 35 minutes.
Step 3: Eat and enjoy!
This recipe is almost too easy; it only has three steps — mixing, baking and eating — and the last one’s fun! It’s convenient and simple to make!
